To the Citizens of Battle Ground,

On behalf of the Clark County Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3674, we are proud to formally endorse Cherish DesRochers for reelection to the Battle Ground City Council, Position No. 6.

Cherish has consistently demonstrated strong leadership, integrity and a deep commitment to the people of Battle Ground. Since joining the city council in 2016, including service as deputy mayor, she has worked tirelessly to ensure that our city remains a safe, thriving and welcoming place to live. Her record speaks clearly to her dedication:

  • Championed fully funding public safety, ensuring that our police and emergency response services are well supported.
  • Took decisive action in reducing city debt, improving infrastructure and launching the Utility Rate Reduction Program for Low-Income Seniors, making essential services more affordable for vulnerable residents.
  • Advocated for thoughtful, transparent governance while preserving Battle Ground’s small-town character.
  • Supported the revitalization of Old Town, focusing on local business growth, infrastructure investment, and creating community spaces that bring people together.

Her experience extends beyond the council chambers, with a long history of community service: founder and president of Food with Friends, trustee of the Battle Ground Education Foundation, member of the Clark County Emergency Response Team (CERT), and active participation on numerous boards and committees that strengthen the social fabric of our city.

We believe that Cherish DesRochers embodies the leadership, heart and vision necessary to guide Battle Ground forward. Her proven track record of fiscal responsibility, dedication to public safety and advocacy for sustainable growth align with the values we hold as firefighters and public servants.

The Clark County Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3674 proudly supports Cherish DesRochers for re-election to the Battle Ground City Council. We encourage the citizens of Battle Ground to join us in voting for her continued service and leadership in Position No. 6.
