It’s my pleasure to endorse Cherish DesRochers for re-election to the Battle Ground City Council. I’ve known and worked with Cherish for over twenty years and have been impressed by her dedication, professionalism, and integrity.
As a County Councilor, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with Cherish across jurisdictions, including during my time as Chair of the Urban County Policy Board, where she served as Vice Chair. She was consistently engaged, well-prepared, and focused on outcomes that benefited not just Battle Ground, but our entire region.
Local government works best when leaders from different jurisdictions communicate and collaborate toward shared goals. Cherish exemplifies that spirit, and I’ve seen it firsthand in our work together as neighboring Councilors. Battle Ground is fortunate to have her leadership, and I’m proud to support her continued service on the City Council.
Sincerely,

Cherish, above all else, is a relationship builder — the kind of person who doesn’t just connect with people, but truly invests in those relationships and keeps them strong. In local government, that skill is everything. When you build genuine relationships with your community, your constituents, and neighboring agencies, you get things done — not by force, but by collaboration.
Cherish is not divisive; she’s focused, grounded, and committed to issues that actually matter to Battle Ground. This is her home. It’s where her heart is, and her work on the City Council reflects that every single day. She’s not chasing a title or using this as a stepping stone to something else — she’s here because she cares.
For these reasons, and so many more, I fully and wholeheartedly endorse Cherish for reelection to the Battle Ground City Council.
